I guess I'm not sure what the question is. Are you asking if the feeling you are having is evidence of a higher power? Are you asking for evidence of a higher power?
I'm not even really sure what to say here. Sorry. :(

Buddhist are by far the most open minded. The Abrahamic religions (the big 3) have a horrible history of violence to other let alone their own people. the catholic church is the worst an the reformed offspring a almost as bad. we have the Jews who want to get it own with their stash of atomic bombs and the us are still in Iraq (why?) and Afghanistan and have invaded so many places i cannot remember. the big three suck. the offer a very poor system. in each case it is absurdly materialistic and top heavy with rotten politicos. we are ruled. vote? don't make me laugh. study Buddhism unless you are some kind of big 3 zealot. learn some facts and how to think and wait and fast. we live in a sort of hell because of our socially programmed cravings. we make good consumers and once we made great solders and mothers who raised their children. those days are over. wake up and smell the coffee. this isn't a blending pot, it is a hellish whirlpool that will eventually dissolve into a sort of Sodom and Gomorrah. peace dude.

Well the main evidence of a higher power is this.
Now in one of the laws of thermal dynamics it is stated.
Chaos can come from order but order never comes from chaos except with the help of an outside force.
Now most scientists speculate that the universe came into being in a theory called "The big bang". In this theory they speculate that two large masses called dark matter collided in a chaotic explosion that started "evolutions" slow steps forward toward modern man. See the error in that? The big bang theory is in direct contradiction to the laws of thermal dynamics. thermal dynamics by the way is a proven fact. Now lets look at that law again. Notice the part that states "except with the help of an outside force"? Guess who that outside force is? GOD! Isn't that incredible!

I'm sorry to tell you that the being watching over you was your mother. god needs thinking to be reached, not just feelings. as for Christians to be the most open minded people, that must be a joke. because they don't have minds to start with. they depend on feelings and blind faith in holy secrets, they don't understand. the most open minded people on earth are mu'tazila, but they practically disappeared. I'm probably the last one.
i like Buddhism a lot as wisdom. it wasn't meant to be a religion. it's poor at that side.
god can't be an outside force, it must be in. there is no place outside the big bang.
Piaget's model is weak. other experiments proved that children are not self centered. actually they don't have a self to start with. the society teaches them their egos.

A lot of the prophecies in the bible are coming true plus Jesus died for us, I doubt anyone would wake up one day and decide to go through all he went through just to trick people. The odds of us existing is extremely low especially intelligent life for example after all these years we haven't been able to find any intelligent life in space. That might not mean much to some people but that's what i think.

Take a look around you .. or look at your body.. everything works for a purpose and so detailed and nobody really understands why..scientist , doctors etc..there is no greater beauty that exist than the trees.. the waters..and sky and everything inbetween including you ..Yes there is someone watching over you .I was raised in a strict religious background..but had a big lack of faith..things changed in my life and i was in some bad places and some tight calls with no way out...and something or someone intevened..I would say that on my part yes there is a higher power.. and its responsible for everything you see and do and the reason you see and do it..

Very true. You know, there is no such thing as a complete atheist. I know a man who for many years thought he didn't believe in any kind of God. He was considered a very enlightened, modern man-- he was a successful Madison Ave. advertising man and an extremely intelligent human being-- and a hardcore atheist. One day however he found himself suffering extreme physical pain in the form of electric shock. He heard someone screaming "My God, my God, God help me!" Only later did he realize it was his own voice. Deep down, we all know the truth, no matter how "enlightened" or "disillusioned" we think we are.

The evidence is all around you, your own body is evidence. Think of all the beauty in this world, our beautiful sun and moon; the blooming flowers and trees. The rivers that flow and how endless they seem, where do they really go? Think about the seasons and just life itself, how about a colorful rainbow.
There is just sooooo much, I could go on & on for days. There is and will always some one watching over you....Praise Him!

I found it interesting (and charming) until you said "Christians are the most open minded." I have nothing against Christians (my whole family is Christian and I love them dearly) but there is a large percentage of them that are *not* open-minded.

See? Just the fact that you say you remember being 1 year old is proof enough that this is false. Any psychologist can tell you that it is impossible for you to remember back to when you were 1 year old. If your belief in god is all based on your "feelings," it is proof enough of being unreliable and not proof of a higher power as your title suggests.
