Well, it depends how serious your acne is. If you care for your skin as best you can, eat a healthy diet, drink lots of water and don't touch your face during the day with your hands......and its still really severe, then you may want to try prescription medication. Your family doctor can prescribe something like Minocin for a short term to clear things up. Then you should explore something long term, either with your family doctor, or by asking him/her for a referral to a dermatologist. I've had acne all of my life and finally discovered Arbonne International makes excellent, natural products that don't irritate my skin, AND clear it up nicely. PS if you're around pollutants such as cigarette smoke, that will worsen your acne for certain.

it's very normal to have zit and acne problems. When I was in my teens, I used Oxy pads and Oxy face wash, try that. You can talk to your doctor about going to the dermatologist and he/she will recommend a dermatologist. The only time I suggest you go to the derma, is if it's severe(really bad), but if it's moderate and mild then it's easy to treat with Oxy and over-the-counter stuff. Acne and Zits are part of the teen years and once u hit the 20's then it won't be there as much.

Not if you do proper research about your skin disorder. Online you can find natural ailments for your skin without having to pay that much for crap that actually just destroys your skin`s foundation. You have to be careful what you use cuz in reality we dont even know how to pronounce all those chemicals that you find on the back of a cleanser product much less know where they come from. try the natural way first before u consult a derm =D

Well, what you need to do is go to your regular doctor and ask him for a reccomendation to see a dermatologist. That's how you get an appointment with one. I think you should see the doctor, JUST to make sure that you CAN control with face cleansers you buy at stores. IT may be worse or better than you think...

No, you're just going through that time of life. If it's just a zit or a few zits, you can put some toothpaste on it. It really works, it has to be white though.

No.Dont waste money on a dermatologist. They most likely will prescribe antibiotics. You dont want that because your body will become immune to them and in the long run will not take care of your acne if it comes back.Have you tried Proactive? That stuff has worked on everyone I know that has tried it including me!!
