Take the dog outside where it can get to some grass. If the dog eats grass, it will vomit within 10-15 minutes and have whatever is in it's stomach out. Dog's are very good about inducing vomiting when they eat something bad and it upsets them. Make sure that the dog has plenty of water available to it before and after. This will only work within the first few hours.

If the dog has intestinal blockage it may require a veterinary visit. You can determine this by whether the dog will eat or not. If it won't eat, take it too the vet. If it's just uncomfortable massage it's belly slowly and firmly. (Harder than a tickle, bu not so much you are squeezing the breath out of the dog.) This will help comfort the dog and relieve the situation.

Finally, if the dog is just constipated give it some milk. Milk will relieve constipation in a dog, and you will find the dog much more agreeable about ingesting milk than olive oil, or any other oil. Plus, it works faster too.

If she just ate it, you can give her hydrogen peroxide, one tablespoon at a time until she vomits (2 will usually do the trick for a small dog). If she has had time to digest the food, this won't help. Call an all night vet clinic. If she is crying in pain....you really want to get her help immediately. Don't let the poor dear suffer. And for goodness sake! Keep human food out of her reach if possible! Good luck! I hope she gets better fast!

EDIT: As the poster above me stated....mineral oil will work, too. Just make sure it's flavored. Mineral oil has no taste and no smell, which leaves nothing to trigger your dogs epiglottis, causing them to inhale the mineral oil into their lungs. I've seen some horrid cases where a dog has aspirated MO. It's usually fatal. Make sure it's flavored or you mix it with something pungeant. Like Tuna juice.

i might think of that the city found out approximately this chew from the wellness midsection, because of the fact the wellness midsection is obligated to checklist canines bites. If the vet tech mandatory to be taken care of at an ER, this became not a tiny nip, yet a extra intense chew. it appears that evidently that the city regulation allowed the city to then press expenses in spite of what the vet tech would have asked. There additionally seem to have been distinctive blunders made by the vendors and the vet tech. Letting the owner carry the canines in her hands for any variety of therapy became a reasonably great one. while the canines is being held in this way(up interior the air, enclosed interior the owner's hands) it has no option of get away if it feels threateed, making a chew lots extra probably. And if the canines does chew, he's extra probably to get the tech's face in that place, because it extremely is going to be closer than needed. it is likewise achievable that the canines felt it became keeping the owner, somewhat than itself, in this occasion because of the fact the owner became dissatisfied and the tech became coming rather on the verge of crumple of the owner as properly. In a greater vet prepare, the vet or the tech might have securely held the canines in this way of way that it may not chew and the different might have performed even though technique became mandatory precisely to stay away from considered one of those chew. The tech additionally curiously took the owner's be conscious for it that Spork became ok instead of analyzing the canines and the region correct. All vets have muzzles for canines they think would chew, in spite of what the owner says. So whilst the vendors might have a vicious canines, the dealing with on the vet's place of work did not do something to regulate the region and would have provoked it. As to this incident putting human beings off bringing their canines to the vet: see above. stable veterinary practices comprehend the thank you to wisely safeguard canines to decrease the flexibility of bites. ETA: Now that i've got seen the previous q in this, it in simple terms confirms each little thing i've got already stated! The techs lip became torn off, the canines had a background of stress on the vet, etc. look at Miaugh's answer on the unique Q for extra information.

Add 1/8 teaspoon for a small dog or 1/2 teaspoon for a large dog of any of the following to every meal: canned pumpkin, wheat bran, brewer's yeast, water, or vegetable enzymes.

Talk to your veterinarian about a high fiber diet recommendation.

Encourage your dog to drink more water. Always have fresh, full water in a dish available to your dog.

Pick up a folic acid or aciophilus supplement at your local pet store for your dog. Make sure your dog takes it on a daily basis.

Take your dog for more frequent walks.

Don't give your dog bones.

If your dog is in serious pain right now with constipation, go to a pet store, or a Wal Mart and pick up a lubricant laxative for dogs, look for one that is a mineral oil or petrolatum base with a flavor added to it. This is the fastest way to relieve your pets suffering.

Cold noses have nothing to do with dog health. Give her an over the counter infant glycerin suppository. If she doesn't improve by tomorrow, see the vet. Lube the suppository with K-Y jelly or even Vaseline.Good luck and I'm sure things will be just fine.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fruit and vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

I'd suggest getting her to a vet as soon as possible, but, in the meantime, cooking oil was always a tried and true remedy on the farm.
