You have no faith, you said so yourself. . . "prove to me" you said.
If you have no faith, what good is prayer?

I really can't tell if your question is sincere or a back-handed insult to Christian conservatives, but will pray for you either way. Personally, I don't find it rational to be an atheist. I can't look at a beautiful sunset, know each one is different, and think that it all happened somehow by accident. I also don't buy into the idea for one minute that I crawled out of some mucky pond and began to walk, although I do wonder about some people.
If you are really serious about your walk and having a personal relationship with the Lord, then I would like to recommend that you read some of Ken Hamm's books and visit his site called Answers in Genesis. He backs up his points with many facts. There is also another book called THE CASE FOR CHRIST that answers a lot of questions. The man who wrote that book started off as an athiest and planned to prove that Jesus couldn't have been the son of God. Instead, he did a 180 and became a believer. Keeping you in my prayers.
In Christ,
Lori

Well God, we both know that this person's request is not sincere. But as You've heard me say in my head already, I figure that praying for them regardless of their intention for this "question" will in no way do any harm. I've also decided to type out my prayer because anybody can say that they will pray. I think that hearing, or in this case reading the prayer is better than just saying, "Oh, I'll pray for you." This person can "hear" an actual prayer. I know that they think I'm praying to no one. I also know that I don't care what they think, but I do know that You are here and that You are listening. You have shown me in too many ways that You are indeed real. And God, even though I realize that this person's heart may not be willing to let You in, I pray that if they will allow You to pull on their heart in any way, that You will pull on their heart right now. God, encompass this person's thoughts so much that You are all they can think about... burden their heart for You. Draw them to Yourself please Father, even as unwilling and insincere as they may be.
Lord, I know that the majority of people, even so-called Christians, don't realize that it's not works You want, but a real relationship with them. You want a relationship with this person, even though they don't want one with You! That's part of the beauty of Your love. Maybe this person has a false idea of You. Maybe they don't realize the depth of Your love for them even though they hate You (or really I should say even though they don't even believe that You exist.)
I realize that the poster is most likely mocking me right now, but that really doesn't matter. What matters is that I love You and You love me, and that You love this person. If only they would come to realize the realness of Your love.

First, you must realize you may have to give up sound scientific theories like evolution and "literature."
But, you don't have to worry about it, because, by giving up the fact that the Bible is literature and prophecy, you can just read it literaly! Then, when someone asks you a question, you can KNOW exactly how to respond without any resort to reason.
Now, this is ONLY if you want to be the type of "born-again" you seem to be familiar with. I have met many who are not like this, however, the "best" of them love to take things out of context and reason from the Bible so as to seem to subject themselves to the assualt skeptics like you are tonight, while, in actuallity they just lead you deeper into their Bible quoting abyss, that while it is aparent to those who study the Bible that they are have missed the point, they KNOW the truth. There is no mystery for you, then. And that is the easy part.

I find it amazing some people think they are in so much control of religion. Let me get this straight - Someone can just decide to become born again? Just like that? What is the most convenient time for you to do this? Can you just tell God; Yes, tomorrow at exactly 12:15 p.m., you can let me be born again - because I have just as much say as you do in regards to this kind of stuff.

My prayers are powerful, your welcome in advance!

if you want to become a neoConned Christiban fascist why not just get a lobotomy? it's more effective than prayer and you don't have to wait for the Bible god to get around to zapping your brain with holiness.
PS. aren't some of these folks a hoot? hehehehe!

Well, you'll have to turn from sin, and ask to be forgiven. In your heart and ask it in the name of Jesus, and seek after him.
I pray that if you do this, God will have mercy on you and show you the truth. And take away your pain, and fill your emptiness, and heal your wounds.
I pray that God will take away the lies and bad examples from your life, and let your new path be one of real wisdom and truth and Love. Love for God the one who knew you before you were born, love for yourself, and love for your enemies and love for your friends.
May you recognize evil.
amen

of course I will pray, but you need to want to change, and with your sarcasm, it will not happen. It amazes me that people say that Christians are bigots, and mean spirited and say we are not tolerant of others who believe differently, Is there anyone else out there that sees how people like this are not tolerant of what we believe?
