Where do you think people sould draw the line? Kissing, holding hands, groping, what? Also, do gay people have the same rule as straight people when it comes to PDA?

Holding hands is perfectly acceptable. So is kissing, provided that it is not a prolonged kiss. Groping is not an acceptable public display of affection and is likely to get you arrested. As for gay people, no public display of affection is acceptable in the eyes of the public. Our society just isn't ready for that yet.

I think kissing, having an arm around your partner and holding hands is fine. Tongue-kissing, groping and petting is out. But it would depend on your age and the venue - I think people are more forgiving toward teenagers, because we know they are full of hormones and it's all very exciting for them (besides they're pretty!).

For me, the same rules would apply to gay couples as it just doesn't bother me either way, but others might find any physical contact at all too confronting.

Everytime i see people calling their partner by their pet name or holding hands AND kissing the LastManDancing goes out the window and Arthur E. Berthawits comes out to kick *** and do the community a public service.

If a person wouldn't want to do something around their parents or grandparents because they'd feel embarassed by doing it and they love their parents and grandparents, then don't do it in public. My opinion is, people in public are somebody else's parents and grandparents (and children and grandchidren in public are somebody else's children and grandchildren whom they love!) Gay or straight - it's absolutely the same standard.

It is too much if it makes others uncomfortable. You can tell by their reaction, but one should use their common sense to realize when they have crossed the line.for both groups of individuals.
