I want a dog and don't know what breed 2 get should i get a germanshepherd or a chihuahua?

well, that depends on your living situation, and your personality. how much space do you have? are you dominant enough to be the leader of the pack for your german shephard? if not, a chihuahua might be easier for you.
either way, a dog is a full time commitment. i like big dogs myself, but i'm a big guy, and i was raised around big dogs, and know that i need to show that i'm the alpha to them. that doesnt mean being mean, or aggressive, but its showing behavior that says "everything is good as long as you follow the rules". you need to do this with the little dogs too, so they dont get bad habits.
you need to decide whats best for you.

Have you had dogs before? Large or small? Where do you live? In a small apartment a German shepherd would be rather uncomfortable. Out in the country a Chihuahua would be out of place. Do you want a dog for protection? Then go for the German shepherd. Do you just want a lap dog? Then the little one. Good luck!

First of all, those are extremely different sized dogs. Are you looking for a teeny, tiny dog or something you can hold onto and wrestle with? Are you wanting a dog you can go jogging with (and it comfortably keep up) or one to lounge around with? German Shepherds get pretty good sized and require walking and walking like most bigger dogs. Not to mention grooming is way different. If you don't like shedding, go with the Chihuahua.

Well if you want to get like a watch dog or herding dog i would pick the german sheperd...or if you just want a lap dog and something to cuddle with and dive lots of long...that doesnt mean if you get a german sheperd you should still give it lots of love...but anyways if u want to get a lap dog like a chihuahua then i should get that kind of breed...well I hope this helps and good luck finding a dog that you like the best..

Do you WORK FOR A LIVING??
Do you Intend to work???
IF SO....two cats will entertain each other while you're at work....
They won't RIP your new dress, or chew your shoes and those Hi Tech Sh+T boxes make for easy cleanup....although I like the SUPER Boxes for my 4 MALE CATS...(they pee standing up)
You Won't have to pick up poop or clean pee stains (unless you get too lazy on the box) and they fit in your lap....
And they are just soooooo much fun!
A Hell of a lot more fun than a Dog could ever be....and they eat less than a German Shepherd.....
And late at night.....they'll massage your boobs....a dog won't do that. All a dog will do is vomit the garbage he ate while he was outside......

having pets is a great responsibility, are you financially capable is the first question to ask yourself. then do you have the time for caring and nurturing them, pets need attention too, a lot of it. then what do you need, a pet to cuddle or a companion. anyway, both breed would love you whatever happens. I have a german shepherd and he is a great companion and playmate as he knows when am depressed and would always cheer me up. my sister has a chihuahua and she made a sign in our door. "BEWARE OF DOGS YOU MIGHT STEP ON IT". so really it is up to you.

that is like choosing between a cake and and ice cubes. generally if you prefer an inside dog to cuddle baby love and nourish, a chihuahua, but if you are more sporty outgoing outsideish and playful a german shepard, it just depends on what you prefer. and what you can live with. if you are busy alot a chihuahua will do fine, however german shepards take a huge amount of resonsiblity.

i think it depends on your lifestyle. for example, gsd's require a lot of exercise, but chihuahua's don't. ask yourself, do you want a small dog or a large dog? i had a german shepherd and she was the best :)

l have a chihuahua, a jack daniel, a herdindshepard and a st.bernard. don't ask me to choose. l would miss all. down to little one too big one.they all need shots food shelter and love. cat do so do damage but then l love her too.

Chihuahuas are disgusting and ugly... I say, go with the German shepherd.
