What or Which Is The Best Way To Hold It For The Farthest Range(Day Or Night) for Complex Apts.

The best way is to have both radios in the same orientation. The easiest way to do this is to hold them both vertically.

What happens is this. The radio signals come out of the radio in what is called a "polalrized" pattern. The receiving antenna needs to "cut" through the pattern emitted from the transmitting antenna, and the best way to do this is if they are in the same orientation. Vertical is best because the radio waves will travel along the horizon. If you hold the radio horizontally, many of the waves will travel toward space or toward the earth, and fewer will go in the direction of the other radio.

So, best, is for both to be held vertically, and away from walls and such.
