Whatever you do, do not go to a Chiropractor! They will make it worse not better.
You are suffering due to straining your back muscles. It can be cause by numerous things. If you are taking it easy, taking ibuprofen for inflammation, and it does clear within a couple weeks, go see a Orthopedic Doctor. If it does not clear you probably have injured a disk in your lower back. When you have a bad disk, it allows your muscles to get stretched/aggravated when lifting, bending, etc. and it feels as you have described.

That's not something that can be answered without knowing more about your medical history and symptoms. The pain can be coming from any number of things. Back strain, disc injury, kidneys, etc. Go see a chiropractor.
