A shitzu if you have kids and like petting dogs, but if you want a dog to bite the crap out of people than a bull mastiff

I would go with the Shitzu. Bull mastiff's are expensive to care for and cleaning up after them is very trying. They are very possessive and protective. not a lapdog. If you want protection, and lots of exercise then go with the Mastiff. if you want a snuggle bunny, got with the shitzu

Depends if you live in the city and it will be an inside dog I would say Shitzu. If you live in the country or somewhere where the Mastiff can run I would say Mastiff.

WOW!! talk about you difference in breeds!! LOL Well it really depends on what you looking for, obviously they are VERY different in size, shitzus require very regular grooming & are much more of an upkeep in that sense, whereas a bullmastiff will be the one that drools A LOT whitle shitzus arent known for being big on the drooly side, a bullmastif will require much more exercise & much more room to run & play while a shitzu will be easier to travel with as they are smaqll enough to be portable....also what type of dwelling do you live in??? an apartment would be perfect for a shitzu while a bullmastif may not be quite as comfotable in one also if you rent a lot of landlords are less likely to allow a large dog while smaller dogs are usually easier for a landlord to accept.....personally I like the bullmastif better beset of luck on your decision!!!

quite a big difference between the 2 breds a shitzu needs to be brushed on a regular basis to keep hair knot free face and bottom need clipping to keep clean also through hot weather really neds to be groomed (hair cut) but they are small lap dogs bull mastiff less work with maintainence but they bigger eat more need more exercise lot more energy so i guess it all depands on what YOU want and the work you want to put in

i would say a shitzu,, if you prefer a small cute dog,,, then there is a bull mastiff, that is stocky and big..

depends if you like big dogs or small dogs. if you want a small dog shitzu if you want a big dog, bull mastif.
