There are many reasons why it is worth it. You can use it to get great discounts on Hotels, and vacation spots, amusement parks, and much more. They also provide great books with information on your vacation locations. And it's included in the fee. And most importantly, they will come out to help if you are stranded. I drive a Mustang and I have gotten my car stuck in the snow several times over the years. Usually if I can't get my car moving after about fifteen or twenty minutes, I call them and they send someone out. Usually within a half hour depending on the time of day. I also had them out to change a flat tire that I got. I have never had to pay anything extra and it's nice to know there is someone to call in the middle of the night for help.

My insurance company whome I hold in high regards offers a roadside service.I pay 2 dollars-yes 2 dollars a month and I get towing, lockout etc.I have to pay up front but I get reimburst.state farm is who I am with. I have used it several times and never had a problem. After I pay the bill I just take the recipt to the state farm office and they give me a check. The reason it's so cheap is that most people who have it and don't even know it's on their policy.you may be one of those people!sure I can't get thosy fancy trip ticks but it's 2006 and we have gps! well that should do ya,good luck!

Check with your insurance company. I use Progressive and they offer roadside assistance to me for $6/year. That's right, $6 per YEAR! I've used it to be towed a few times now.

I use Allstate motor Club. I'm not sure what AAA charges but Allstate charges $120 a year for the same coverage.

I have Cross County Motor Club through my car insurer, which is Liberty Mutual. I have been in some unbearable jams. Cross County has always come through with a tow truck in the worst of weather and out-of-the-way places.
Look into options through your insurer or other insurers. There are, indeed, other services out there.

I have State Farm Insurance and they offer emergency road services on their policies. I also have a rental car insurance they offer. Pretty cheap, if I recall.

Yes, if your cell phone company is Cingular, for about 2 dollars a month extra you can call them just like triple A.
