As a military spouse there can be times you won't here from them for several weeks. Don't panic or anything. They do alot of moving every few months and so on. So keep your head up and your heart open.

1. He's busy
2. The phone/internet center failed
3. The phone/internet center was shut down for security purposes
4. He's freaking broke from buying all that internet/call time and needs to get paid again
5. Any combination or all of the above
No news is good news. As long as his parents, or whoever is listed as his primary next of kin, haven't received a house- or phone call from a couple guys in uniforms, he's probably fine. If you're that worried, contact his parents and ask them if they've heard from him. If they haven't heard from or about him, figure he's okay.

I'm on my third deployment now, this is all coming from personel experience.
There can be weeks that go by so fast for us that we dont have time to call/write. We are literally up for 20 hours a day (if not longer) doing missions. Its not that we dont care or dont think of our loved ones, but the mission will ALWAYS come first when it comes down to it.
Also, phones and internet go down frequently here. Many times we wont even have access to them for days at a shot.
Additionally, if something did happen to him his next-of-kin will get notification within 24 hours of the incident. If you arent the next-of-kin, make sure whoever is, knows your contact info in order to keep you updated.
Finally, not to be mean or cruel, but you need to get used to not being in contact for long periods of time. If you want to have a serious relationship with someone in the military, you need to except the fact that many times you wont be first in his life, that his "job" will come first (as it should - he made an oath and needs to keep it).

Whoever you are, do not worry, he is fine. He got his friends over there to protect him and he have got that over looks and take care of him.
I have my boyfriend over there too, sometimes I won't get a phone call or an email from him weeks or even months. So the best thing for you to do is to stay true to him and pray for his safe return and his company's return.

Because the internet is available to EVERYBODY! GET IT?
Especially Iraqi's! If you don't hear from him, just hang tight. Pray, of course. The military does not even tell HIM what he will do next, so be patient and supportive. And don't believe what you hear on the news. Get the Stars & Stripes newspaper for the REAL truth of our troops there.

Soemtimes things happen. The internet can go down very easily, there can be communication blackouts, he can be on extended missions, etc. If something bad happened to him, his family would be notified within a day (usually). So, rest easy that he's alright and that he's thinking about you day and night and can't wait to talk to you again.

My friends husband was over there, and quite frequently the internet would go down and phones wouldn't work right. If something was wrong they would inform you. Try not to worry, although I know that must be hard.

Maybe he's getting shot at? this is why military guys shouldn't date civilians. Y'all don't have a friggin clue about what we do. Let's see. Iraq. War. Bad people. IED's. Patrols. No regular phone service. I mean, are you really that friggin dense?
