He is 9weeks old and loves to bite. I have toys for him ,but he still loves to nip at everyones hands, even when you are just petting him. I do not play ruff with him. When he does start to bite i tell him no, take my hand away, and ignore him until he stops. Should I hit him(not hard just to get his attention) and tell him no? Will he grow out of this?

He also bites at my other dogs which doesnt bother them. When he does this i separtate them.

Most puppies go through a "nipping" stage but given the breed of dog in this case you want to be especially sure that the aggression towards other dogs does not escalate. I have a Pit Bull/Rottweiler mix and the breeder/trainer whom I'm working with has taught me to be very strict and, more importantly, consistent in admonishing my dog. As soon as she begins to growl at other dogs I need to get right in her face and almost growl myself as I say loudly, "KNOCK IT OFF!!!" if she doesn't stop immediately then I take my fist and gently but firmly hit her under the chin. This usually will snap her out of it and she will immediately sit and stay.

He's teething. When he nips say no, take your hand away give him a chew toy and walk away. This is called re-directing. He will catch on, you just have to be patient. Don't hit him, he won't understand it. You can also try putting some of his chew toys in the fridge to help soothe his gums. Also try a kong in the freezer.

Do the same when he gets too rowdy with the other dogs if you feel it's neccessary but usually the dogs will let him know when they have had enough. It's good for him to play and they will show him his place in the pack when they feel the need to :)
Good luck!

Don't hit him! Use a shocking collar. Much more effective. He doesn't know where it comes from, it's over in a second and doesn't hurt after that, and you can control the shock. (mine goes from 1-10) I have not shocked myself with it which does not seem fair to the dog but my brother has and he says it would definitely get HIS attention!!! Sometimes just a stern voice can also be really effective as long as you're not always screaming at him.

Hitting him may turn him and you dont want this to happen but and stern NO and a tap on the nose will get his attention.

Your puppy is probably in his teething stage and just wanting to chew on anything if you get him the appropriate toys and keep up with the discipline he should grow out of it.

NEVER EVER HIT YOUR DOGSES!!! AND DONT ELECTRICUTE THEM EITHER!!! They will never forget... Make a short hig pitched scream when he bites you and then ignore him til he settles down and looses interest. This is what his sisters and brothers would do and they would stop playing with him until he stops biting, you need to think like a wolf.

Puppies bit. They do not mind so they think we don't. My pit grew out of it at about 3 months.

Yes he will. he is a puppy thing and while you may be thinking " he will never stop!!" just be patient and when a starts to nibble on you let out a yelp like a dog would. This lets them knoe this behavior is not ok. try it see wat happens.
