Like a Jack Chick comic book, or those little things that look like dollar bills when they are folded--but when you open them up, it says something like "Tricked you! Just like Satan tries to trick us all into sin. But Jesus helps us find the true answers."

According to some restaurant servers I have known in the past, people really do this.

Only if I never want to be served there again. Your average wait person needs the $$$ to pay the rent, not some novelty religious pamphlet. I think even God would strike down someone as crass and classless to leave that behind versus a legitimate tip. I'd rather take a nickel than a pamphlet. It's not only cheap, but assuming a server needs salvation.

My friend was a waitress for 10 yrs and has received them on occasion. She said the worst tippers were the local "celebrities", TV anchors and politicians.

And, by the way, the church I attend doesn't have those kinds of pamphlets.

Is that not just like christianity, it is so false and evil that people have to be tricked.

Either way you are stiffing the waiter/waitress if the service was good acknowledge it with a real monetary contribution.

I am no certain religion, but a FIRM believer in God...and yes, Jesus is real to me too....but I can't say I would leave anything religious with my tip at the restaurant...if you feel it's right to, then do it....God is a personal God....he has different jobs for each of us I guess....Blessed Be....

I do that quite often, but always with a good healthy tip. I know what they make, so I like to tip more then the average person.

No. In fact I gather up as many of these things as I can find and throw them in the trash so little children don't find them.

They are often obscene, hateful and bigoted.
