For example, I have had neighbors who wanted to build bond fires all night long and still do, but I never know what to do. It makes it hard to go outside during this because I can not breath.

We moved. they were just bad! noise, parties, sex in front of their picture window, horrible. And they didn't care if our kids were near either. they skirted the law but because most of what they did indecntly was inside, they were not in violation of the law.
We finally just moved1
If they are building bonfires they may be violating community ordinances, call the cops for that one. If you live in the country, they still may be in violation, check county laws, then call the sheriff.
This is an age old problem usually only solved by one party moving and guess who that usually ends up being.
If there is a legal way, put a stop to those fires, that is endangering your family. All fire is wild, no matter and one getting out of control is super easy.
There are always disturbing the peace laws too, even if it is in the country. Good luck to you!

We had drug dealer neighbors squatting in a house that wasn't theirs. What we did was all the neighbors took turns watching them. One neighbor took down license plates of all the cars coming and going. Eventually the police got them out.
As for the bonfires, that sounds pretty harmless, as long as they're legal. Have you had a conversation with these neighbors? Sometimes just getting to know them gets rid of any annoyance that there is.

I have some neighbors that are rowdy and annoying. For the most part, my girlfriend and I ignore them. One night, though, there was an idiot out yelling obscenities at a young girl that he'd been artying with. I came home from work at 1:30 in the morning to hear him yelling.
We called the cops on them. Now they stay inside and shut up.

Are you sure that it is them that is being the bad neighbor? Maybe they just need a little kindness from their neighbors and not someone who calls them 'bad.' A little kindness and patience go a long way.

We ignore them most of the time, spread true gossip about them (we got into their computer lol), mix with better people, and laugh as they abuse their own children.
