How can I let a man at work know I am interested who I am pretty sure likes me but is too afraid to ask me?

He is a lot older than I am but I am very attracted to him and I think about him all the time. The first time we saw each other just like in a movie our eyes met and we held eye contact for what seemed like forever and it was like everything around us was in slow motion. His face lights up when he sees me and he treats me differently than he does the other women we work with. He stares at me a lot (when he thinks I'm not looking) and he is very nervous around me when we're alone together. He says we are so much alike that its like I could be his daughter but the things he says and the way he flirts with me makes me think he really likes me. I just think he is too afraid to ask me out being that we work together and that he is so much older than I am. How can I let him know I am interested in him? I think he has tried to ask me out on several occasions but he tries to do it when no one is around and there is always someone around! Or, he loses his nerve because he's nervous!HELP

WORK.. the key word in your question could be the very reason he hasn't moved forward. i think it's awesome when two people have sparks between them. the whole butterfly's in your stomach get nervous sort of thing. but, pursuing someone who you work with is extremely risky. but if your willing to throw caution to wind and take the chance i suggest you make the first move. keeping a very low profile of course, just sI'mply ask him to meet you for lunch.." hey bill, im heading down to the pizza place for a salad would you like to meet me there?". it's then you will have a better view of where you stand. if he declines, no big deal. don't be discouraged. he probably needs time to digest it. whatever the reason may be at least you'll have made the move and put the ball in his court. the next thing to happen will totally depend on him. You should not date where you work, and he is probably married anyway, that is why he has not approached you. So leave the man alone and find someone outside of your place of employment. Dating someone in the same place of employment is always a very bad idea. God bless****
