I don't think it matters in that it is wrong or something, but I think people change as they get older and priorities and everything are different, so I think it's more a question of being on the same page and being in the same place in life. These differences can definetly cause problems even if you get along great.

Love See's NO AGE !! The heart does not age. The only way it makes a difference is if they are MINORS !
When you love you love no matter what age (excluding minors).
My ex-boyfriend was 17 years younger than and we got along great. I was 40 he was 23 at the time we met. I wanted nothing with him at first cause of the age and we dated finally and it lasted years !

I believe it does matter if one or the other is under age 18 and one is over 20. To me that is a child being preyed upon by an older person. If both are over 18 age shouldn't matter unless of course you are money and blood sucking maggot that is taking advantage of the elderly.

If there's a question of age then it's not looking good for that relationship in general. That's probably just one of the things that will bother the couple.

I agree with the first comment, and will add this, there are things that a person should learn about themself before they can fully share themself with someone else. Otherwise they'll get lost in the relationship.

the older you get, the larger the age difference can still result in compatibility. a senior and a 7th grader wont have much in common. a 40 year old and a 30 year old can still have a good marrige. it can be hard when your husband talks about a song from highschool and you tell him you heard it when you were 4! if a guy in his 20's is wanting to date a highschool girl, he has maturity issues. always try to date people in similar circumstances as you. it is akward to go to prom with a college guy. you may think he likes you for your maturity, but in reality, he is not mature enough to get a girl his own age.

I THINK THAT AGE SHOULD MATTER BECAUSE IF YOU
ARE UNDER AGE A PERSON CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF
YOUR, EMOTIONS, PHYSICAL. ETC. ALSO A PERSON
OF AGE IS MORE MATURE TO DEAL WITH LIFE JOURNEYS
SOMEONE THAT NEVER BEEN IN SITUATION CAN NOT
DEAL WITH THE OUTCOME. AS FOR SOME THAT OLDER
CAN RELATE MORE. AS THEY SAY. A OLDER PERSON
HAS BEEN THERE DONE THAT. A YOUNG PERSON MAY
JUST NOW BE GOING THOUGH THIS.

I don't believe it should matter in a relationship, as it is not the big point in one, unless there is a BIG age difference.

yes I think in some aspect it does, depends on how much the age gap is. I wouldnt go more then 6 yrs personally. I think of it long term if his older than me i think ok I will be 60 he might be 80 , it will be alot harder to do what you want if there is that much age. Will he/ she support me if I want to travel .... are we both going to be in the same things.... etc thats is something only you can decide on..... good luck

I think the only way it should matter is for someone of legal (18) age to be dating someone younger (15-16-17)......Other than that, if you like him than I love him......

Sometimes. Just make sure that one person is not taking advantage of the other with their father figure or mother figure controlling attitude. Sometimes people are so insecure that they have to go very young and then they dominate that poor person. Sometimes only. Good luck!
