I have been in this exact situation. and I understand where you are coming from. The good thing is it sounds like you've got a nice guy there...must be pretty attractive or girls wouldn't give him the time of day. Another good thing, he's your guy. Just keep a cool head. You've told him how you feel and if it ends up bothering you too much, just find someone not as cute and lovable. ;) then you won't have to worry about it. Guys are flattered when they get hit on. doesn't matter from who. it's a boost to the ego. Just make sure he knows you're still into him too (if you are). Honestly, overly-popular and good-looking guys in my opinion aren't worth the "up-keep" If you want more than arm candy, just move on.

he is being totally disrespectful of you and your best friend! talk to your friend, and be honest. tell her that you see what he's doing and that you don't blame her. then talk to him. ask him why he's hitting on your best friend. if he says he's not hitting on her, he's being dishonest and you'd be better off without him. if he tells you that yes, he's been hitting on her, and will stop doing it, he might be worth a second chance. but I'd be really careful. he should know better than to hit on your best friend.

You dump him NOW.....He has no respect for you at all. Remember that a man can do know more to you then you allow him to do.....Never be with a man that has that little amount of respect for you. Your mother and father would not like to see you going through such an unhealthy relationship.
