Try buying new shoes first. Don't trust what you have always worn because people do change over time even if it it slightly. A wider shoe might be needed or greater arch support.

If this is a recurring problem then you might to go see a doctor or directly to an orthopedic.

I have plantar fasciitis which was very painful until I got custom formed insoles for my shoes.

check webmd.com out if it's a big problem for you. otherwise, alternate soaking your feet in ice cold water for 10 minutes then hot water to reduce swelling and increase circulation.

Pamper them. Soak them in warm or cool water, whichever feels better to you. Buy some nice smelling foot cream and give them a nice massage. I used to be on my feet a lot and that ALWAYS made them feel better.

Soak them in water as hot as you can stand, take a couple of ibuprofin and give yourself a good foot massage.
