You may have dental plaque (tonsil stones) at the posterior tongue which is chocked full of the types of anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath.
Use tongue cleaner/sweeper/scraper twice a day after brushing your teeth!!!!!!!! The most common odor-producing region of the tongue is its posterior (back tongue) portion!! The posterior tongue is the MOST important area to clean!

If you still have your tonsils, you may have food debris inside them that is spoiled. This can be flushed out with water from a syringe (no needle). Floss, brush your tongue, and use mouth rinse. You may even have to change your diet. There are lost of foods/drinks that seem to spoil breath too. Good luck...this is a tough condition.

Use a tongue scraper and learn to floss the proper way. Just sticking floss between your teeth doesnt always work. Also, if you have chronic bad breath then you may have periodontal problems and may need a root planing (heavy cleaning to the gumline with an ultrasonic).

You need to floss! That's the best bet. Maybe try a tongue scraper as well. Also, mouth rinse. But flossing is the best way to remove all the smelly bacteria.
P.S. I am a dental hygiene student!

well...do you floss or brush your tongue? if not then that can cause bad breath. so can tonsil stones if you still have tonsils. bacteria can get trapped in the back of your mouth in your lingual tonsils (not the ones you normally see, but are located near the back ouf your tongue) and it can cause bad breath too. so can certain medical conditions and dry mouth. try talking to your doctor or dentist.

stop breathing. just kidding. don't drink so many acidic beverages. try more water. the more dehydrated you are, the worse your breath is. also cut out the onions and garlic, it stays in your system for days.
