Don't take anything to heart. Deal with them professionally and always respect your customer even though they may be obnoxious. I'm sure you're not the only one they're obnoxious to and eventually they'll get what they deserve.

I use to work at a shoe store and I would get obnoxious customers all the time... It was so hard not to say something back or get an attitude... The thing that worked best for me was get the customer out of the store as quick as possible... not necessarily rushing them but still having good customer service.... But for me, the faster they were out of the store the less time I had to deal with them... Since your a hairstylist I guess it wouldn't be wise to go as fast as you can, cause if you make a bad slip, then you'll really have an obnoxious client... good luck

Im a hairstylist too.. i know exactally what you mean. the best way to deal is just hurry and get them out of the chair but they always say, you can catch more flies with honey then vinigar. or turn the dryer up really loud and pretend not to hear them. haha.

I tend to agree with everything clients say as well as apologize apologize apologize. I went to an interview and the lasy asked me what I would do in a cetrain situation that happened to her. Apparently she told a stylist they were using the wrong shampoo because the lady's hair was "unnatural" instead of using "dyed" and the lady got mad and left. I told her I wouldn't have said anything in front of the client and I would never of said "unnatural" needless to say I didn't get the job but you get the point BITE YOUR TOUNGE please your client and get them out of your chair asap.

We have a few of them too. We just deal with it, and treat her nicely. Except this one stylist can be very blunt and she doesnt take people's crap, so one time she just told her like it is and that client doesnt mess with her. I dont know if theres much you can do, we're taught to have good people skills, and they're money... so what can you do?

Depends on how obnoxios they are. Are they nasty? or just loud and overbearing?
If they are nasty, I am the nicest person you will ever see. It's the "Kill 'em with kindness" theory. Pretty much works with most cranky ones. Cut 'em, color 'em and ship 'em out the door.
Loud ones will usually quiet down once you tell them to.
