Most people do cardio first.
But- if you want to really burn body fat and bulk up on muscle, do your weights first and then do cardio-
Why?
Weights burn the glycogen (fuel) out of your muscle and makes your body look for fuel elsewhere- like in fat- and then cardio after hits your fat stores really hard.
Most people do cardio first because by the time they get through their weight workout, they are too tired to do cardio.
Make sure you are using the right fuel suppliments- like balanced amino's for muscle recovery.

Actually it does kindof matter. It depends on what your goals are. If you are trying to stimulate muscle growth for more lean muscle mass through weight training, then you'll want to do cardio second, or better yet, on other days. Cardio has been shown to actually hamper muscle growth if done too often.
If you're not looking for muscle mass but just to keep in overall shape, then it probably doesn't matter too much. I recommend probably doing weights first, since you'll be able to concentrate on form better if you're not tired from your cardio and get the most out of the lift.

Most articles I read say to do cardio then weights.
I found that alternating days makes it less tiresome and you feel like your weight lifting is more powerful.
The rest between days gives your body time to recover and time for your muscle tissue to rebuild.
I think there is no perfect answer for everyone. Mix it up a bit and see what combo works for you.
The cardio really helped me trim down and the weights bulk me up!
Great Combo!!!!
