I have a christmas party to go to tomorrow night but i also have to work during the day. I am bringing meatballs to the party and would like to do something different other then soak them and barbeque sauce. But i need something easy because i gotta go to work in the morning. I do plan on putting them in a slow cooker if it helps.

any suggestions?

I am assuming that the meatballs themselves are already made or purchased, and you are just looking for a different sauce. We mix equal parts of ketchup and currant or apple jelly. Depending on how many meatballs you have, you can start with 1 cup of each. If you want it a little spicier, you can add a few drops of hot pepper sauce. This makes a nice sweet-and-sour sauce that is very easy.

Swedish Meatballs

Make your meatballs as usual, but after they are cooked, put them in this sauce:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cups boiling water
3/4 cup sour cream Mix together. Pour over meatballs. Heat for 20 minutes.

Might not work well for this party if you've already bought ground beef, but I used ground chicken to make meatballs (in spaghetti and meatballs) for the first time tonight. Really worked well, but because the ground chicken is quite sticky, I had to use a lot of breadcrumbs to hold it together. However, they turned out great!

Pineapple and brown sugar. Thicken with cornstarch and water if needed before you serve them.
