I would stick the pill in the back of her throat (if it is a capsule, moisten it first or it will stick) and force her to shut her mouth and hold it closed. Then blow in her nose, it sounds stupid but it makes them swallow. I work at a vet clinic and this is the easiest way to force a pill down.

Try some Nutri Cal vitamins for dogs. This helps revive dogs that don't eat when they go on a trip etc where they can't eat. It helps stress and when they are sick etc and they like it. It comes in a tube and they can lick it, so it can nourish them. Sometimes peanut butter on the edge of their tongue gives protein also. I would give them some several times a day for a couple days. Some dogs can get bad like a diabetic if they don't eat, so it could be very dangerous not to be eating.. Usually if you soften their food with warm water they eat better when they are sickly or down. I have always been told that bottled water will work better than tap water. Hopes some of this helps your poor little puppy. Good Luck

Dogs usually dont eat pills on their own. I put a bunch of butter on the pill for mine and had to stick it right down its throat. Its an awful thing to have to do but alas, it needs to be done. Put it far enough back in the throat the the dog will swallow it rather than spit it out.
Try taking the new pet out of the home for a few days and see if the dog starts getting better. I'm wondering if she didnt catch a doggie version of a cold from your new pet perhaps.

Does she like canned food? If there is a food she really, really likes it may tempt her. Also let her know she's not being replaced, love her up and do stuff she likes. Did the kitten maybe make her sick? If she was playing with kitty and suddenly gets stops eating it's a good possibility. Get a second opinion from another vet. Hope she's feeling better soon. Good luck.

Have you tried putting the pill in a piece of cheese or using peanut butter? If she isn't eating you can try a diet of cooked rice and boiled chicken, her tummy may be upset. If she's not drinking, this is a problem. I would see the vet again as a dog cannot go for too long without water.

My dog got sick once and it was tough giving him pills. What we did was coat the pill in peanut butter. So I guess you could coat the pill in whatever food that your dog likes and see if she eats it. If all still fails, you can have your dog admitted in the vet for medicines. I hope she gets well soon.

Call the vet and see if you can grind the pill up into a powder. Then put it in peanut butter and put that in the back her mouth. She won't be able to spit it out.
