No....This you have to have instruction in

Iaido is the art of reacting to a surprise attack by counter attacking with a sword. This is merely part of the Kenjitsu System.

I doubt the boarding school will allow you to have a Sword.

Not really, books and videos are only good for reference to people that are already studying the discipline.

you could wind up with an injury, or a lawsuit if you try to use the techniques if you happen to be attacked on the street that're in the video or book; because a book or video CAN'T teach you to control your techniques.

So once you get out of school then you might wann see if you can find a Martial arts school that Teaches Iaido

Any martial art is virtually impossible to really learn correctly without personal instruction. There are many books and websites that will show you kata, but you will never get the full measure of the art without an instructor.

Saying that, if you can find an instructor on your breaks, and you can practice while you are at school, then there is no reason why you can't learn iaido. It will take a long time to progress, but keep with it, take lots of good notes, draw yourself diagrams, and if your instructor allows it, you can video tape your techniques to review and help your practice.
