I would put the whole bottle in and then what you don't use save for later and yes it does help. Your hair isn't gonna get better overnight but believe me this helped with my hair I can even send you a pic of my hair before and after if you want...Don't listen to the negative remarks on here...they don't have a clue...

you take a small amount in a cup, maybe 1/4 of a coffee cup.
Heat it, only until warm. Do not boil as it will burn your skin or scalp, or hair. Be very careful.
Oil can get rancid if you put it through a few heating and cooling sessions.

You can use cotton balls for oil on your face, or a small brush that looks like a basting brush (in dollar stores) to put warm oil treatments on your hair.

They both really work, and my mother was a hairdresser for 52 years, and many women only wanted her "olive oil" only treatments. It helped everything!

GOD bless.

You heat it as you need it. If, there some for later, then reheat. It just like cooking oil, you use what you need and later can use more, until it gone. Just keep water out of it, though it may still be good, the water make it cloudy and it not look good.

YOU COULD TAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OUT AND WARM IT UP UNDER HOT WATER OR THE MICROWAVE, JUST DON'T GET IT TOO HOT. THAT WAY IT'LL KEEP THE REST OF THE BOTTLE FRESH.

FYI-hot oil treatments don't do much for your hair after a day or so

after shampooing, apply hot oil evenly over hair & scalp. you dont have a steamer, put on a shower cap or cover your hair with plastic wrap, rinse after 30 minutes.
