In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
Love and blessings

We are taught that satan lies and is a deciever, and the weak of faith/mind will follow the false words. I am not a very religious person, but to follow the teachings of satan would not even be considered. I don't know why people follow, and there are a lot of them. Some of them, even celebrities has admitted this, but for the most part , no one, not even family members know, so if it is so great, why hide it...probably because it is just not socially or morally acceptable.

Your post demonstrates a naivety that is not very uncommon today. The truth is that there really aren't many people who actually "worship Satan". There are those who believe in the tenants of religions, and those that do not. Many people falsely assume that a person who does not believe in god (and often is the case enjoys heavy metal music) is a follower of Satan. This is patently absurd. Some may claim to worship Satan, but actually just want to get a rise out of religious people.
But, if I had to try to answer you question objectively, I would have to say that his music is much better, and the rules are more lenient.

Well, there's a difference between "followers of satan" and Satanists. I can't really say anything about the former, not knowing the specifics, bu tI would imagine it has something to do with freedom. God has a bunch of rules and limitations and essentially says he's punishing you if you don't do what he says. Not sure what followers of Saaaaaaatan, would have to say about the one they follow.
As for Satanism the religion, it's really more along the lines of nihlism: the concept is that "satan" is just those things that christians say are bad, which they consider good. Things like sex and freedom.

TO REPRESENT EVIL
Gen.8:21; The imaginations of man's heart is evil from his youth.
Gal.5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Gal.5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Gal.5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
REPRESENTS GODLY
Gal.5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

(Anton LeVey's) Satanism is, in essence, an extreme form of atheism. The Satanic Bible blatantly denies the existence of Satan or God. It's adherents do not worship "the devil" rather use the name to show them as the antithesis to biblical teaching. Most of what they strive for is has a type of physical, or intellectual reward, while turning away from what they view as outdated morals.

Satan is an essential feature of Christian religion though most Christian sects have banished him. You cannot. What you must strive for is to know your devil. Shake hands with him. And that will protect you against some of the bigger follies. Remember that the greatest trick Satan ever pulled was to convince people he did not exist. Know he does and you will know when you are giving in to him and how far to go.

The concepts of good and evil are human constructs designed to control the masses through fear-based lives.
Satan or demons were created by early humanity to explain away such things as famines, disease, death, pestilence and natural disasters until science evolved enough to explain these events.
There is no entity that can challenge God as there is no "war" that God could not win.

Satan always appeals to our sense of self satisfaction. Even though I'm a Christian, I sometimes want to really sin it up to satisfy myself.
the funny thing is, most of what Satan offers is no different than God, except God has a specific timing for his, Satan teaches us to not wait and get it NOW
