There isn't going to be any set amount of time. Some people will take longer than others but if you feel that it's been an unual amount of time you might go see a therapist to see if maybe you have depression.

Time is always a great healer and different people take different times. Grief is not standardized nor routine or by the book.

One of these fine mornings, you will wake up and start to feel like this is the morning to pick up some pieces and live the rest of your life.

This is a sign of depression. If you grieve due to a death or a "death" of a relationship, its all the same. If time isn't "healing your wounds" then you must get help. I asked my GYN about why I felt that way and what to do. He put me on an anti-depressant. I've tried 2 or 3 but think the one I'm on works best right now. It doesn't keep the pain totally away, tho, but I think it keeps me from crying when I think of a certain person.
May God Bless You in your time of need.

Each person deals with grief differently. I heard that it takes about 6 months.
