Well, we are all children of God, so i guess you could consider that incest, but that is just a sick thought.

Its a moot question, a moot question means it has no meaning... but I'll answer it for logic's sake...
Your story is illogical for 2 reasons.
1. The souls of the twins are unrelated, only the bodies of the
twins are related. This is because a soul is unique to an
individual, you can't breed a soul.
2. A soul has no gender, it is a soul not a person, so to imply
that the twins' souls retain their gender is a nonsense
I'm a Buddhist and the Dharma speaks of the eternal cycle of rebirth. I do not believe in rebirth, I have a different view than belief for belief implies trust in a truth rather than a realisation of the truth through practised meditative contemplation and concentrated effort. Buddhists don't believe something just because the Lord Buddha said so, He gave humans the Dharma so we would contemplate and recognise the truths revealed therein for ourselves, in this way we would learn by doing rather than learn by rote. Also I do not recognise reincarnation for that implies a person's mind and character, gender and personality are born again into another body, this is not what happens at all.
All humans are reborn if that is their Karma. This means that all human's are reborn if they are not evolved enough to reach enlightenment.
However, it is not the person or any of his physical or mental qualities which is reborn. For example, a person's personality or gender or mind or character is not reborn, rather it is a person's soul which is reborn, and further to this it is the soul which evolves, rather than the person's personality or character or other characteristic be it physical or mental. Do you follow?
It follows that if rebirth occurs then a soul may be reborn as male or female, it further follows that a soul in a former life may have reached enlightenment in a later rebirth and no longer requires rebirth. This does not happen in a linear way, rather it depends on whether the said soul evolves sufficiently.
Assuming your hypothesis for truth and the 2 souls met and married in the very next rebirth assumes that they retain some semblance of their previous mind and life, but this doesn't make sense. It is illogical to think this way. Our soul is our soul not our mind. Our soul's Karma is affected by its previous lives but the soul in no way contributes to its next life only Karma affects the type of next life, nor does the soul retain anything from the previous life, it evolves it isn't a person.
The cycle of rebirth is determined by Karma, not time. What has to be relearned or perfected is different for each individual. For what is the purpose of all life but to evolve. It is because of our Karma not in spite of it that we are reborn. It is the purpose of any life to escape this cycle not to prolong it. Rebirth then does not mean my mind is transfered to another body, rather my soul is transferred and my soul is not my mind or personality or other physical aspects of my present existence for how can I die and retain anything physical, my physical body decays, your mind is part of your physical existence which is why it must be controlled for enlightenment to be achieved. More on that would be a waste of time for us both because the way I control my mind is against your Faith so I won't go there.
For these reasons among others your hypothesis is moot and shows that you do not understand that which you question. It may be a question of what you think of as a soul and what I contemplate as I meditate on the issue. A difference of perspective perhaps or a difference in your Faith and my Dharma.
In conclusion, souls are not related, each is seperate and unique, therefore even when the twins were alive, their souls were unrelated, only their bodies were related. Secondly there is no gender in the soul so to say the 2 reborn souls are related because of a past life is quite frankly silly.

Nope. Our revulsion at incest is primarily a sociobiological protection against inbreeding. Since the biology of jane and john is no longer connected, but only their souls, it is wholesome and appropriate for them to express physical love for one another.

THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE:::
if you believe in the Bible, reincarnation wasn't found in the Bible neither implied or expressed or described.. just wasn't there..
if you don't believe in the Bible, then you just believe what those people told ya'll.. theres nothing wrong with that, besides nobody ever proved that it is real. Hindus rely on their faith on this.. no offense..
but as for me.. i don't believe in reincarnation.. if i die i would want to remain dead.. what the fuss.. give other souls a chance in this world, you selfish id*ot....

No....which is why we have no recollection of what happened in a past life. We get a clean slate..without judgement and judgemental behaviours so that we can make the most of the relationships we have in this lifetime.

no. incest is between two corporal bodies who are related to one another (through birth or circumstance), not 2 souls who may or may not have been siblings in some previous life

No, because it was a past life. The same people you know in this life could be people you've known in past lives, just in different roles - mom, dad, sister, brother, husband, wife, ect.

No!
Next life they may be "best friends".
Life after that....cousins
Life after that.....parent and child.
Life after that.....two strangers that meet for one brief second and think to themselves.....(that person seems so familiar).
Happy Holidays to you!
