Did you take him to the vet????
People medicine and animal medicine don't have the same effect. Also amoxicillion takes a few days in humans to begin working. Bu if you haven't taken him to the vet you need to do so before it turns into something more serious

Keep up with the medicine. It does take a few days for an antibiotic to work.
Make sure that you are following the instructions and giving the correct amount of medication and giving it the correct number of times each day. If you aren't sure, don't hesitate to call your vet to double check and make sure. They are there to help!
You can also call your vet and explain the situation and they can tell you whether or not they think you should bring Whiskers back in. Even the best of vets can miss something, so it may be that Whiskers has a problem that they didn't catch the first time.
Another question is--are these the same symptoms he had to begin with? Or is this something new? Animals, just like people, can have reactions to antibiotics and other medications. I would recommend giving your vet a call tonight if possible or tomorrow morning for advice.
Best of luck to you and your kitty!

If he has an upper respiratory infection it can take a week to 10 days before the antibiotics start to work well. If you don't see any improvement after about 4 days or if the kitty stops eating or drinking take him right back to the vet and get a different antibiotic.

our cat this and it was bad...but after about 1/2 of the medicine was given to him, he started to get better, but we thought he never would.
He wasn't 100% by the time he finished so they gave him something else afterwards and he cleared right up then.
If by the 1/2 way point usually 4 or 5 days your kitten is showing improvement, take him in right away to be seen for something different, you do NOT want to wait until all the meds are gone if no improvement isn't obvious before then.
Hope the poor thing gets better soon.

Animals are the same as humans, you cant just give them the medicine, and poof the next day they are better. Keep giving him the medicine just like the vet told you to. Its going to take a few days for him to start feeling better.

Anitbiotics should start working within 24 hours. If his illness is not caused by a bactiria, he will not get better. You should take him back to the vet if he's not better tomorrow.
