Theres this guy and I like him a lot. He gave me his address before he moved cause I askeed for it. I sent a letter to him in the mail today cause we used to be and still are hopefully friends. Is that a bad thing to do?

Why would it be a mistake? You said you are still friends. It is important to keep in touch. Don't let the people who are important to you slip out of your life.
