Why would you want to rub hard with the antibiotic? No, even though you probably could rub vigorously, since there is no need to, then don't. Bacitracin works simply by coming into contact with the skin, it does not need to be scrubbed in. Be gentle.

Just dab it on gently. You will only hurt yourself if you rub hard. Besides, lots of blood supply to the face so it will heal quick. Usually stitches in the face are removed earlier than the rest of the body. May not need the bacitracin at all if the wound is kept clean.

YES, YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY RUB BACITRACIN ON THE STITCHES. WE DO IT IN SURGERY ALL THE TIME. MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS AND FINGERS ARE CLEAN. USE A Q-TIP TO APPLY IT, OR THE EDGE OF A BUTTER KNIFE OR THE BACK OF A SMALL SPOON. THIS IS TOTALLY FINE TO DO. YOU MAY HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY THE PERSON WHO PUT THE STITCHES IN TO APPLY THIS OINTMENT. GO AHEAD.

Be easy on it. You don't want to tear the stitches open. Keep them clean but you really don't need to worry about anti-bacterial all that much.
