I don't think either is "running" it. Hell is just a place where God withdraws his presence I think, so God wont be in hell telling you how evil you are, and Satan wont be there telling you how much he loves you or whatever. Personally I don't think hell "belongs" to Satan, or that it is his "realm", I think its just a place void of the Holy Spirit and that is why people will be in anguish because they didn't realize how much of God's presence they actually felt on earth but neglected.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

"In yet another question, someone referred to that devil is the boss in Hell..." * he's incorrect, * devil isn't the boss of hell, he has no autrhority there, he's not even at hell, devil is loose around the Earth tempiting human beings adverse to God. * Hell runs "lower than God's administration". The idea of devil operating hell is from middle a at the same time as, no longer from the Bible. That is going alongside with a pink pores and skin devil with horns and a trident. only no longer biblical. devil isn't a warden in a "fairly warmth penal complicated", yet a criminal and shortly he will be arrested and locked down at God's prisions. Wardens, prisions are part of a Justice equipment; devil isn't part of it, except the most needed criminal, a "customer" no longer the "boss".

We ' run ' and create our own ' hell '. Humans have free will and have choices to behave in a celebrating, peaceful, soulful way or to make ' hellish ' choices for ourselfs. . . thus running our own hell. God observing us all the while, fully aware that we are simply loved, learning and growing ' children '.

God.
Hell was made for Satan and his demons, they just aren't suffering in hell yet.
Not until the end.

By my logic, it is by the grace of God that Satan is where he is. Sound right?
