I am seeing a younger man. I have kids...he has never been married. How do I know he is serious about me? He has been having an email relationship with someone in the military for several months. She is coming home soon. What do I do?

Have you told this guy how you feel about him, and let him know you are interested in him, if you and him aren't officially dating then it won't be considered cheating, how does he feel about the fact you have kids. How long has he been e-mailing this girl from the military online, if it has been longer then you have been seeing it might be difficult to get him interested in you unless he finds out that the girl is not cracked up to be what he thought, don't do anything to break up what is going on, because then he will wonder why you were around to start with. Do you even know that he is serious about you or is it an assumption, you know you can't go off an assumption because there are not hard facts. Talking to him might get you the answers to your questions so you can figure out what do, but only you can do this. If he tells you that he does not like you and wishes not to see you then accept it and wish him the best and move on. No sense on dwelling what you can't have or control. Something happen for a reason and that is why sometimes they are not meant to be.

You need to decide what you want. if you want to be with the younger guy, then be with him, and maybe get pre counseling if you plan to get married to better prepare him for a life with kids and what to expect. And if you choice to be with him, then stop talking to ppl over the net. when you do that, your not committed to him if your looking in other places and not taking your relationship serious. As innocent as you pretend it to be, you are still looking in other directions, and you shouldn't be if what you want is this man, if not then don't be with him and find some one else.

wow... i am in the exact same situation...lol except im the younger man and shes not quite divorced yet. i love her with all my heart.. shes the best thing in my life. youve been through a bit in your life.. you probably know how how feels. if your not sure you gotta ask. i made huge changes in my life for her.. i wouldnt have it any other way.. hopefully when she comes home he apreciates how mature and free of bs you are compared to her. i definitely realized how much less stupid bs comes with dating an older woman. i hope this helps

where he stands? or where you stand? just bail now while you can save face, think of your children and how they feel. at this time they should be first and foremost. don't mess yourself up or them, its sounds tooooo soon...
