You know that is a hard one because sometimes relatives are out of town and what not. Or no one wants to go over because it is Christmas Day. The only thing I recommend is send out invitations and let everyone know about his or her birthday. If they show up then that is fine. If not then you might want to plan next time to have on a day that everyone would agree to be there at the party. I hope your baby has a happy birthday though, and just remember that he or she shares the same birthday as our lord Jesus Christ.

My sister has this same problem except she is the Christmas baby. My parents always made Christmas morning Christmas and that evening my sisters birthday (only because she was born at night) There is not a lot you can do to keep your baby from being jipped out of a whole day unless you focus 90 percent of your energy on the birthday and 10 on Christmas.

A good alternative is to celebrate Christmas as "Christmas" with a birthday 'side', then arrange a 'half birthday' celebration 6 mos later. Of course, this only matters to a child between ages 3-12 or so. But I think it is nice to plan a 'unique' special day for their birthday.

I would celebrate with a separate party while his is still young. If you have other young children and he gets extra presents on xmas day they may not understand but as they get older and can understand the difference sharing the family celebration and xmas is ok you may still have to have a separate party though cause not many peeps would take their kids to a bday party on xmas day.

I am born on December 23rd, but my parents always celebrated my birthday and my half birthday (June 23rd). I always felt lucky because I was told that it was special to be born during the x-mas holiday and because of that I got two birthdays. I got a party & cake and everything on my half birthday. I quit celebrating my half birthday in highschool...but it was fun while it lasted. So my parents turned it into a positive and I always thought I was really lucky and special to be born during the x-mas holiday because of it.

Most Christmas' is over by mid-afternoon - have the party in the evening and make sure the presents are wrapped in birthday paper! Have birthday cake with balloons and birthday party favors and such, too.

Have the celebration AFTER Christmas. Make it a tradition. This way friends and family won't mind the present buying because they can get in on the after Christmas sales.

You've gotten some great ideas--here's one more. My birthday was right after Christmas, and one thing my mother always did was make sure to wrap my birthday presents in birthday paper. It would have been easier to wrap everything in Christmas paper, but somehow seeing the birthday wrapping paper helped to make the occasion more special for me.

Just make your Chritsmas dinner and buy him a cake and a piñata. Sing for him and give him a present 4 chritsmas and one for his bday. Make sure everyone knows so they can give him bday hugz and presents, or you can make a bday party before Chritsmas.
