I don't understand the problem here. Sure, dogs need to learn obedience, but all dogs are spoiled. I mean, we pick up their poop for God's sake. My dog sleeps with me every night, which I guess makes her spoiled, but when I tell her NO, she listens, so to me, that's the important thing.

Well, you need to give more details: who feeds him? who walks him?... What do you mean by "goes anywhere"? that could be dangerous in traffic if he is not trained. Do you want the dog to sleep with you or in his bed?
The answer to your question is obedience course; the trainer tells you how to teach your dog but he/she doesn't do so he learns from you what you accept or not.
However, what concerns me is the fact that you sound jealous of the dog sleeping with your mom, remember he has a right to chose his female alpha, he seems to have chosen your mom. Either you fight for that position or you accept that he loves very much even if he regards you as a younger or less powerful two-legged member of his adoptive family.

Why bother doing anything? It sounds like your dog is very happy, as well as very lucky to have a family who cares so much for him! Be glad that your dog is spoiled...all dogs should be spoiled!

Nothing really. I mean you can try to take stuff away from your dog but ussually you end up spoiling it. You can not give hiom treat all the time and the whole sleeping with your mom you will have to teach him where to sleep and hope it clicks to him.

You need to set boundries for your pet. As hard as it might be he or she needs to know its place in the home. Depending on how long this has been going on your work might be cut out for you. Start by putting your dog in a dog kennel at night, and make that there home. Let your mom know the rules. I raise 130lb bullmastiffs in my home and they love their kennel. Yours will to if you give it a chance

i don't mean to sound rude or nonthing but
I think even though the dog is yours that dons't mean
he/she dosn't love you. your dog mite like your mom better
thats all. take it from me my brothers dog Dusty belongs to him
she likes my mom and dad and my other brother and me. So my brother is letting her be a famliy dog. she still loves him very much. that is what i think.
