You may have a small infection on one side of it, or your lymph glands may be swollen on that side too, which is also indicative of an infection somewhere. If it continues, or if you start running a fever, go see a doctor. Best of luck to you, hope you feel better soon.

If you have trouble swallowing for the pain, go to the doctor. you probably have strep throat, a bacterial infection. Tell the doctor that you think you have strep throat, he will look at your throat, and if he thinks you have it, will give you antibiotics.

Strep throat can hurt on one side or both.

Also, sometimes a strep throat infection can cause pressure on the eardrums, and can also cause funky hearing, which will clear up when you have it treated.

You should also change your toothbrush every three months to help avoid strep throat infection.

You need to have strep throat treated with antibiotics. A strep throat infection left untreated can turn into something else, and cause damage to your heart. GO TO DOC!

I think it is tonsilitis, it is common that one is only inflamed. Please do yourself a big favor......see your doctor. Do not risk your health by posting your questions here, go to the doctor instead. It is probably just a common sore throat or it could also be a something serious.
