With any Animal bite you should see a Doctor for infection.If your wound is swollen and your in severe pain and its been over a day since bite then the wound is infected. I was bit by my pet cat (indoor Kitty)and it turned infected within a day even after home treatment.

You may need a stitch in your lip to prevent scarring from uneven healing. I once tried to use a shortcut when I cut my chin and used a butterfly bandage, but I should have gotten a stitch because it scarred and took a long time to fade.
If your face is swelling there may be an infection. You don't want to get tetanus or lockjaw.
So please see a doctor to be safe.

you need a shot of penicillin for the bite ans swelling right away!! and get rid of that thing!!
go to the doc and take your pet to the vet and get hiom checked too like yesterday!!.

well they don't do stitches any more they glue when it come to the face ..so you might want to go to the Dr some pet like that are not to clean and you can get really sick
