it's really pissing me off and plus i just got it.
so first, I activated it today by calling right?
got it. and so I'm like,ook i want this online.
it accepts american express and as i type the card number and card security code.
it denies.
if it was given to me as a gift card...would that have something to do with it? cause it's a gift card?

The gift cards with Visa, Amex, etc as a logo are SUPPOSED to work just like the credit card. More accurately, the work like debit cards. But obviously there is some issue with yours. I would call the place and ask them what's up.

You already activated your card. You need to call that American express customer service number on the back of your card and request that they add your name and your home address so you can use it online. They will also be able to tell you how soon you can use it online. Sometimes it can take up to 3 days before you can use it online.

American Express Gift Cards are the best and you can get one for free from http://urlx.org/directtrack.com/ef3d5 . All you have to do is fill out the survey and you will receive one. I got my american express gift card from that site and it is working really well for me.

Maybe the activation code takes 24 hours to be applied, maybe you typed in the # wrong.....sit back take a few short breaths and try it again.. Best of luck

Maybe it takes 24hrs to activate once you call to activate other than that call and talk to cs thats what they're there for.
