Why do you let your ex run your life? You need to grow up and run your life and do the things you want to do. If your ex says something about you dating other guys tell him to mind his own business. Tell him he doesn't run your life. You date who you wish and don't let your ex itimidate you. If you do then you deserve what you get.

Just ask the guy out for some pizza with your ex and you. Work this thing out. Your ex shouldnt care because he is your ex isnt he?? If you were the one to break up with him then find another girl (like your friend) to just go out on a simple date with each other. Then your ex wont care so much about you and your guys.

The real question is, why are you allowing your ex to continue this reign of control over you when he, literally, has absolutly nothing to do with your life anymore. Whether or not he has been talking about you behind your back to the guy you like is irrelevent. The first thing you should do is explain your current situation with your crush. Then, turn to your ex. Have a talk with him about how it is his job to live his own life. Ask him why he continues trying to take a hole of yours. Whether it be insecurities or jealousy coming from him, if you are this uncomfortable with it, it needs to stop. In a situation like this, you need to consider your self and look out for youself as coming first.

Good luck!

If I told that to my Ex, She will tell me mean things. Sounds like your Ex owns you. If he likes or cares about you, he would let you do whatever makes you happy. I didn't like my ex dating, But seeing her date and be happy makes me comfortable moving on without the pain of "She doesn't love me anymore or cares about me" As long as she is happy, I could careless what I feel.
In life, we have to learn for ourselves.

If you've already broken up with your ex, you don't need his permission to date somebody else. Everybody deals with break ups differently, and he's still denying that you two broke up. He's just going to have to find his one way of coping. For now, give him space.

I don't know why you would think you need your ex-boyfriend's permission to do anything! The whole idea about "ex" is that they are part of your past and not part of your future.
