I have 2 cats and i use the multi cat formula and it works well to cut the odor. I dont need the baking soda like i did with other litters. Switch to multi cat formula and it will eliminate the odor probs.
Also becuz cats have very sensitive sense of smell if you have a scented litter they may avoid the box altogether.

All kitty litter materials are required to be entirely non-toxic. Anything that might harm your cat would be cause to sue the company, after all, since cats do lick their paws and bodies that have been in the litter.
Remember though never ever to spray any kind of product that isn't specifically pet-safe on the litter or the area around it to reduce odor from the litterbox. They may be toxic to cats in some fashion, and that will get on them and poison their little kitty bodies.

had kitty 14 weeks, buy baking soda at Bulk barn (cheaper) add some arm and hammer scented to container, sprinkle some in after cleaning litter box. works well, smells fresh, kitty still uses litter box.
Wish I knew how to scent the baking soda, without buying a box of scented baking soda.
Does anyone know what I could mix with the baking soda from bulk barn?

One thing to keep in mind is that cats' noses are stronger than ours, and cats may find the smell of scented litter too strong for their liking. If you have problems with them not going in the box, you should probably switch to an unscented kind.

It is perfectly safe. All kitty litter is made with the knowledge that cats are going to be consuming some of it, so it isn't toxic to them.
Arm & Hammer is the BEST litter!

The manufacturers have to have their product approved as pet safe before they can market it. Your kitties are safe using scented litter. Now go give them a snuggle!

when the kitty litter makers make kitty litter, they have the buyers wants/needs in mind, but most of all, they wont ever put anything out that would poisen a cat.

It's safe. I always bought Tidy Cat from WalMart. It had odor killing ingredients that worked real good and wasn't too expensive.

it depends on you, how much you frequently clean it, personally I hate cats just because of that and because they shed all over everything.
