I am 8 months pregnant and last week my vaginal area started itching very badly. The doctor told me it could not be a yeast infection due to the fact that there is no burning and no discharge. Also there is no possiblity for an STD. It itches very badly and I have tried vagisil and 5 warm baths today. nothing seems to work. My thighs are beggining to itch too. Please help...

Have you started using a different type of laundry detergent? What are you using that different? Burning and discharge doesn't have to be present for you to see it. When my sister in law and I were pregnant, we both had yeast infections where there were no visual signs and no burning. Her doctor told her to eat yogurt and put some around the vaginal area. I tried it and it worked for me to eat it. Did your doctor check you? He/She should have some reason why you are itching especially if it is spreading. You can always call the ASK A NURSE and ask them. Hope this will help you.

tell your gyn Dr to look at the area it may be a skin condition not an infection,he or she can order some cream that can stop it , don't play around with this it can effect the baby coming through the birth canal when it's time. There is medication to stop the itching but the DR has to see it first.

i would try just a little a and d ointment for diapear rashes just on the outside of your, you know..it should stop the itching, and cotton underwear...or take a cold wash cloth and lay down with it between your legs.. i used to get bad yeast infections (i know you dont have one) but this could help you... good luck

If your doctor can't help you I don't think you'll get an answer here. Try another doctor or talk to your pharmacist.
