I am making some little 'Pudding Cakes' for Christmas and need to soak the fruit in hot brandy overnight, I have some chocolate port which has an amount of brandy in it anyway but would it taste OK in the pudding with the port? Also the brandy is 31% alchohol and the port is 17%. What do you think?

If you sub. the choco late port for the brandy you are cutting down the amont of alchohol that is called for therefore your cakes will have saucier costancy. If you can,t get the brandy cut the recipe in half.

It should be ok. I say this because I make this homemade sangria and the fruit has to saok for 5 days in brandy and port wine. the flavors blend seemlessly. So I dont know why yours would be any different. Chocolate port can only make the pudding cakes even more delicious.

Well...I would replace it with water. And then you know the brandy flavor definitely won't be overpowering the way alcohol marinades sometimes can be.

Or, run to ABC and buy a tiny bottle.

Alchohol isn't the point here it's the flavor, myself I wouldn't mix the two, just replace the amount of liquid with water, it's a Background flavor not the Major flavor

i do not look after Brandy as a television personality. She might want to stick with making a music. all of us comprehend how overpowering Rosie is, and that i imagine it will be like "Rosie and the ladies" particularly of "The View." i for my area do not watch it anymore. i did not like Meredith in any respect. in the adventure that they are attempting to capture a youthful target market, there must be a significantly better decision. What about an formidable skills with a concepts? perhaps purple. i love her plenty and he or she seems to have plenty to say. (end of ramble lol)
