Is there something about an older man that draws them to a younger woman? im 20 years old and im attracted to older guys 25-35 rather than someone my own age. I think b/c of the immaturity with younger guys.. they dont know what they want in life.

well...its not a HUGE age difference until it reaches about 10 years apart....
like me, I liked the neighbor who was 20 years older...not that I wanted to date him, but I thought he was handsome.....
yea, it has to deal with immaturity. Guys my age always made me feel bad...whereas my bf, who also doesnt go to school with me and stays far from those boys is like 5 years older than mee and makes me feel like a princess.
Its the same way when we're older. Younger guys are attracted to most older women cause they are mature...and sometimes want sex cause thier "mature" partners are too old and would break their back (lol lil joke).
so anyways, it all depends on a person's sense of maturity a lot of the time...but not all the time.

I don't think the answer will be the same for every young lady. Some are attracted to the power and money that older men have, power is known to attract the opposite sex, and with power the money usually follows. They don't necessarily have to be good looking either! For others it may be a father substitute, although the reasons for this vary. Most young ladies wouldn't either know or acknowledge this. If dating without commitment is what they both want, the age difference can go either way. People are not known to be rational when choosing partners. For older guys, having a younger girlfriend is a status symbol which means some are always on the prowl! It could be a phase she is going through, sometimes people either get over what causes them to choose older men or they just grow up. Hey as long as she is happy and not being taken advantage of, then be happy for her.

It is because of the immaturity and almost everything thing else of that matter.. I have nothing against younger guys but have always been more attracted to older guys because their more secure with themselves, allot of them are at the point in their life where the want more then a one night stand, they know what a real relationship is, they are settled and they want seriousness. they by this point are tired of stupid things and want something good for themselves, their also protective and they always wanna make sure that all your inner needs are met, I have only found this to be in ages between 32 and 43 and think you should go higher on the age, the higher you go the better most of them get :) :) :)

It's completely for maturity. Right now I'm dating the ONLY GUY I've ever dated who is even in my age GROUP. We're attracted to the mysteriousness and maturity. Because, guys our own age certainly aren't as mature as women. They level out somewhere around 26, usually, but women are just naturally more mature than men so they have more of a chance for the maturity level they are seeking in an older guy.

Based on my experience: Older guys are mostly financially stable and will be able to provide you with a comfortable life. Most of the time they are done playing the field and want to settle down. They are more knowledgeable about life in general and more experienced in bed. They're more confident about themselves and their place in society. Plus, I think all girls unconsciously try to find a father-figure (it's a Freudian theory). And yes, younger guys (in their 20s) are immature and still trying to find themselves. They're also still into the dating game and want to sleep with a variety of women. Most of them don't know how to treat women. But then again, this is all based on my experience.

Yep TOTALLY because guys the same age are around 3 years less mature. I once dated a guy my age (16) and all he cared about was racing games and making up stupid nicknames for me... it was terrible. Now my general rule is at least 2 years older, either that or they have to prove themselves REALLY mature.

Older men are more mature and appreciate their ladies. Most Girls mature quicker and like their men to be mature also.

Because us young girls like the mature guys that are 1-3 year older that us.
And because they know better that the young guys that are the jerks and the players.

generally we want someone older bc we think that they will understand our every needs and to provide confort. And younger guys are so full of it and is trying to find themselves.
