Make christmas ornaments out of paper plates or cups. Have them draw cute decorations, color them, cut them out, poke a hole at the top of the decoration, put string through it and hang it up on the tree or around the house. Me and my sisters did that before, was creative! You could also stick candy, or other treats to them!

My favorite things to make with my family when I was little was like maccaroni noodle christmas tree rope. I don't know what it is really called. You just string a bunch of the colored macaroni noodles. We use to put them around the tree, and around the house.

Glitter, glue and paper. Glue cotton balls on paper (snow). If they're old enough for scissors you can make paper chains garlands. Buy a can of spray snow and let them decorate a window.
