i read somewher that u can snort vodka and get drunk really quickly .....has any one tryed this...sounds like danger to me...

The alcohol will get absorbed into your blood stream through the mucus membranes in your sinus much faster than when you drink it. The effect of snorting vodka would be the same as snorting any drug; the onset would come much quicker with a smaller dose but would probably last for a shorter period of time. I would be careful though, the quicker onset and smaller required dosing makes an overdose (ie alcohol poisoning) much more likely. You should also note that just holding the vodka in your mouth has a very similar effect; instead of getting absorbed by the mucus membranes in your sinuses, it gets absorbed by the membranes in your mouth.

I wouldn’t be snorting any kind of liquid at all up your nose. Yea I like to drink my vodka. The amount of vodka you would have to put up your nose could damage your sinuses. Its not like cocaine where you only need a small amount which is safer for your sinuses. Sure, cocaine could damage your sinuses over time. But the amount of vodka up your nose you need could damage your sinuses in one shot. And by the way, it will not get you drunk faster. Nothing you snort up your nose goes straight to your brain. It goes thru you sinuses and down that back of your throat. And you may even need to intake more alcohol than usual just to get a buzz if you snort it.

The nasal membranes absorb anything really quickly and because of their proximity to the brain . . . whatever you snort will hit like a hammer.
Yes, it IS dangerous!

Years & years ago in the Yucatan' some sailors & their girl friends were snorting Tequila off of the bottom of beer botles. Of course we all tried it........buncha' fools.....stuuuuupid! But you know how we tend to get in Mexico!!

yeah you can snort any kind of alcohol.. it goes right to your brain getting you drunk faster.. just take a beer bottle cap and bend it in half then pour enough in to fill it up.. and snort. instant buzz.

well it must feel good but it messes up your nose and if you wanna get drunk faster smell it a have a shot. Why would anyone wanna get drunk fast. Thats just so stupid, i rather drink all night!

It's a stupid trend..and while it works..it can sometime work to well and result in you laying on the floor like an idiot.
I would not recommend this...It can also cause permanent damage to your nose.......
