I am not sure that I would want to attend a church that promotes alcohol and gambling. You may be old fashioned but so is the Bible!! I like it that way.

Maybe. I mean there is nothing wrong with drinking wine with a meal and going to a casino as part of a senior outreach program as long as the church is not gambling its donations.
That would be a huge scandal if the church lost a lot of money at the craps table.

There might be some question about the casino trips but I see no problem at all with the wine. There is no scripture in the Bible that forbids you to drink. The only thing the Bible says about drinking is not to live a drunken life style. Wine with dinner does not constitute a drunken life style.

That Church sounds hip, but it seems as though your mother doesn't mind. The Bible never condemn wine and many church going people gamble, play the lottery etc. What's the difference?

Wine is good for you, so long as you drink in moderation and aren't taking medications that don't mix well with alcohol.
The casino is a different matter. Many people enjoy gambling. I personally don't, but I don't consider it immoral, and neither do most people. I'll have to remain neutral on that part.

certain, i ought to bypass. I were to some church weddings of kinfolk interior the severe 15 years, and one funeral. maximum funerals are in funeral houses, it type of feels. i do not see a situation with it, as long as i'm not partaking in worship there. I see it as a construction. My nephew's wedding ceremony replaced into in a church he and his lady friend had by no skill even attended. The ceremony lasted all of quarter-hour and had no scriptural references by any skill... It replaced into only the venue they paid to carry the ceremony and reception. I nonetheless can not believe I drove 1100 miles to attend! If someone does experience that it bothers their judgment of accurate and incorrect, although, why insist they ought to bypass? it truly is between them and God.

It depends on the denomination. If she were Catholic, I'd figure that it was just "their way". I'm sorry that it rubs you the wrong way, but it's her spiritual life. If it doesn't greatly harm you or your over-all family in some way and she believes in the spiritual enity that you and the family believe in, does it matter that this is going on?
