Good question! Jesus is God's one and only son. He was PER-FECT and NEVER sinned. But he loved us-Mankind- so much that he Willingly died on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins. To accept his gift of forgiveness and salvation, all you have to do is believe that Jesus died for you and accept him as YOUR Savior and Lord. It is the best gift you can EVER receive.

i believe that 'unique' might be a better descriptor

Few, if any can claim to
1) be the Son of God
2) be the ONLY way that man can be saved
3) be born of a virgin
4) fulfill hundreds of prophecies by dozens of prophets
5) have died and came back to life
6) not die after coming back to life but went straight to heaven

I imagine if you accept those claims, then I guess you have to conclude that Jesus Christ is pretty unique.

Jesus is important because He is the one and only the one that gives and takes away.

Catholics believe that Jesus is the son of God, a physical form of a higher being. He was able to forgive sins, cure illnesses, and reserect the dead (including himself). He willingly died to forgive all of mankind of their sins, so that they could go to heaven and be with God forever.

Jesus is the son of God. He came in the flesh to teach us how to live. He also came to save us from our sin, he is our sacrifice. He died at Calvary for our redemption. He is the way to God. God tells us there is only one way to get to him and that is through his son. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light...no man cometh to the Father but by the son.

I think it is who more than what ...I seriously doubt the the man Jesus ever thought things would mushroom with his exploitation
long after death. The legend has far surpassed the original person as far as I'm concerned.
