Every1 here is just gonna try to be funny. it's so annoying.

Anyway, if I farted at work really loud, I think I'd be mortified! Silent ones are easy to get away with, but LOUD ones are horrible! It depends on your personality. If you don't get embarrased easily, simply laugh it off or say "oops, sorry" and smile. Go on with what you were doing as if nothing happened. If every1 is laughing their butts off, don't blush, laugh your butt off too-- even if you are super embarrassed! If you are the shy type, act like you didn't really fart. Do something as soon as the fart happens to make it look like you didn't even notice it. Or if you are the blame-somebody-else type. Look around and act like you are trying to figure out who farted.

Wow, that was a long answer for a fart question.

I like to act naturally in those situations. Not TRY to act naturally. I mean if I fart at work, I'll let whatever happen happen. I don't know what I'll do. If I try to think about it or worse yet, rehearse it, the explanation could end up worse than the fart itself.

Say "Oh, that's terrible!" If someone agrees and they knew it was you, at least you said how you felt about it. If nobody answers, then just keep doing what you were doing. The world doesn't have to stop turning just because someone farted. Besides there's no "restroom" for it.

Start looking around you chair and say, "Did you see that mouse run by? He must have gotten into the chili again!" Everyone has 'tooted' in public places. A good joke will clear the air...pun intended.

I would explain and say excuse me. Then remind them of the old expression " Better shame than pain."

You look to the person next to you and hold your nose as you move away from them and tell 'em they should be ashamed of themselves.

If no one says anything, ignore it. If they say something, try to laugh it away.

hearing it is the least of the problem.... if you get the 'drift'

hey it is a natural function. of course one should attempt to control and 'vent' at 'appropriate' times, but, it happens
