Definitely LCD. The only reasons you'd buy a Plasma now are:

1) They're cheaper than the high-end LCDs on the market
2) You want that itsy-bitsy marginally better contrast ratio that Plasmas get. Even then, it better be a high-end plasma because most Aquos, DLP, 3-Chip LCD and Bravia sets all equal or exceed most plasma screens brightness and contrast ratios nowadays.

For the price plasma for durability, LCD. In my opinion the clarity is much better on a LCD. Also, if you plan to play video games go for the LCD. Repetitive images burn on plasmas. I have also noticed, just from my own investigation that you get more options with LCD than plasma. Now is a really good time to buy one, they have gotten really inexpensive in the last two to three months. Good Luck!!!

I love my 61" DLP Samsung. The best TV out! Very affordable also. I paid only $1700 at Sam's Club.

If you don't care about space, and you want the best deal, then DLP.

If you want to save space, have good picture quality, then plasma.

LCD is best for small to mid-size.
