Reduce your daily caloric intake by about a thousand calories. You will basically be starving yourself. It's not healthy, but I once went on a diet that only allowed me 600-800 calories a day. I lost huge amounts of weight and then gradually i increased it up to 1600. I ended up gaining the weight back later on. It's best to incorporate exercise into your weight loss plan along with chaning your eating habits. It's a lifestyle change that you have to deal with the rest of your life. Simply starving yourself isn't going to help you in the long-term. You will most likely gain it all back and maybe more. But, if you need to lose some weight really fast I would suggest staying off sugar (a must), and sticking to 800-1200 calories every day (this should make you lose 1-4lbs a week). If you want to eat more then you can increase your caloric intake to about 1600 or even 1800 and then exercise the other calories off, which is much healthier than just starving yourself.

It's all about diet, but sometimes it's not that easy and exercise just lessens the time it takes before you start seeing results. At the very least, don't skip breakfast (biggest way to slow your metabolism), keep hydrated with lots of water, limit white flour and sugar or eat them in moderation, eat 5-6 small meals daily (about 400-500 calories for your meals and about 100-200 calories for snacks, not that you should obsess about counting calories but it helps to eyeball your food portions and have a basic idea how many calories you're consuming), and just do as much activity as you can (take stairs vs. elevator, park your car farther, etc). Good luck!

Diet. Eat better. Simplest thing in the world.

You don't need to exercise to lose weight. Makes it much easier, but it's certainly not required.

This is laughable, ignorant, and incredibly short-sighted: "Water 3 days nothing else, eat small meals 3 days, and on and on until you reach your desired weight. This does work I know 2 people who has done it and lost quite a bit of weight in a short amount of time."

This is REAL advice, and hits the nail on the head: "just cut all the crap out of your diet and just eat better and healthier. that alone should help you lose weight..

but i mean.. why don't you exercise? diet and exercise together are double the speed of losing weight. you will feel so much better.. your body and your mind and your confidence etc etc. running 5 miles works wonders honey. get to it!"

Water does not increase your metabolism.

The only safe way to do it to eat healthy and exercise. Even if you lose weight without exercising by eating healthy you are still putting yourself at risk for other health problems in the future. Also, you won't be able to get rid of the body fat you do have if you don't exercise since vigorous exercise (yes, it's hard work) is what burns fat.

You have loose weight? Where on earth do you keep it?

Oh, are you asking how to *lose* weight? Eat less, keep up an average activity level. The Losing (or loosing) weight question is probably the most common question asked on here. Use the search box at the top of the page to search for past hints.

Reduce your caloric intake. Cut out the fatty foods and sweets and eat more veggies, fruit, chicken, fish, etc.\

Green tea also has a great effect for some people too.

If you hurry up and never stop you'll never have to wait

But seriously the best way to keep a healthy weight and strong body is to moderately exercise everyday.
